Larry Schneider, owner of Homestyle Custom Upholstery, started doing upholstery in 1973. After attending MATC Upholstery School, he then worked for a few shops in the Milwaukee area. He made the decision to open his own business in 1983, our first location was a 3500 square foot building on 27th Street and Ryan Road in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Being very happy there, but due to expansion of the business, relocation was necessary. The move to 2059 S. Allis Street in Bay View, Wisconsin was made in May of 2008. With five full time employees, it's a bustling place! Cal Swartz worked at Homestyle from 1983 to 1988 and returned in 2008 after working at Midwest Express in aircraft maintenance. Craig Wartner, who has over twenty years experience in the awning trade, joined Homestyle in 2004. Cheryl Tenant started at Homestyle in 2009. Before here, she did alterations at Brookfield Square from 1978 to 1980. After that she was a sail maker at North Sails from 1980-1990. During 1990-2009 she worked at various companies while raising childern. Southep Thikeo worked at Milsco from 1993 to 2009. He joined the team at Homestyle in 2010. When the shop was opened in 1983, it was just Larry and Cal. Now if we get backlogged or have a rush job and in the busy summer months there are five full time employees and part time employees to help out as well. | |  Starting on the left, we have Dave from Enduratex Vinyl Fabrics Distributor.
